I am an illustrator from Houston, Texas. I work mostly in comics and sketch cards and love the sci-fi, fantasy, and horror genres.
I write and draw the self-published graphic novel series, Land of the Rats which is about a race of rat-humans and their adventures and struggles in an otherworldly setting. Many years in the making, my stories had their impetus in the late 1980s black & white revolution that happened in the comics industry. While first becoming interested in all things Marvel, it was really the original Ninja Turtles series and Heavy Metal magazine that set me on a path to telling my own stories. In those days I was into Dungeons & Dragons and of course, Star Wars, so a sci-fi/fantasy setting became the vehicle through which I could tell any story I wanted. A few years and lots of sleepless nights later everything coalesced into Land of the Rats.
Land of the Rats tells the story of Jack Natari, a hybrid rat-human from the nation of Raelak and his adventures after being exiled from Rat City. Wandering deep into the desolate Vastness of Blask, Jack meets many friends and foes, encounters strange beings, and befriends the dragon Mephiliaxus who may hold the secret to Jack’s quest.
